Well, I had decided on the Pioneer, now all I had to do was wait and save some money. But in searching around, I found an open box VSX-82TXS (last years model) that did every thing I wanted, was 130watts per channel, and was sitting there for 60 percent off of retail.

It tasked me.

But since it pretty much fit the bill, and was cheaper then any of the units I was looking at, I went for it. Damn it's a nice unit, though the remote requires a degree is astrophysics to use. It's got a hell of a lot of ooomph, though. My poor speakers are wondering what the hell I'm trying to do to them.

So that was basically my weekend. Blowing Xmas money and playing with my new toy. I've had worse weekends. I've had plenty of worse weekends, actually.

Anyway, you go have a day, a year, and if you go out tonight, have a plan to get home that doesn't involve killing anyone.

Hah -- I saw the preview frame of the video, and immediately thought it was going to be for Foreplay/Long Time. I've just recently gotten hooked on this song (thanks Rock Band). Good choice!

Also, good to hear the new receiver is working out well for you.

it's one of my favorite boston songs, but yeah, rockband is what brought it out.
