The Beatles singing Happy Birthday to scenes from Metropolis fits my mood about the whole thing perfectly.
Ah man, 39 years old. That’s….that’s almost 40. Good god. And yet, I only feel about 73.
But hey, it’s Friday, and better yet, it’s a Birthday Friday, which makes it a Birthday Weekend, which means not only that no one can take that away from you, and that I can use as many commas in a sentence as I damn well want to, but it makes me the Master Of All I See this weekend.
Which will get me about as far as you’d expect.
Actually, my fondest desire for this weekend is to not do a damn thing. Sleep. Play me some games. Sleep some more. And maybe, when I’m done with all that, take a nap.
And fight off a cold, apparently.
