Wacky question but does anyone know of a case manufacturer that makes computer cases that mount the MB on the opposite side of what is conventional?
I have a computer fan exhaust issue that I hoped might be addressed in this manner. Thanks.

So basically, you are looking for a BTX case right?
Just do a Google search for BTX cases... I'm sure that you will find a few. Personally, I have a CoolerMaster CM Stacker case which is convertable to the BTX format (you have to unscrew a few panels and flip them over to the opposite side.)
Here are some examples...

i,ved not see a reverse case before .may be you can flip the case over and reverse mount the hard drive cd-r or dvd unit in it ?all the mounting holes s still line up. the motherboard and cpu and case fans wouldn't be affected even the power supply would still work ok . now it could be tricky if your water cooling the unit do.
You could pick up Lindsay Lohan for less than a intel 990x, and still have money left over to bail her outta jail
Thanks guys.
I don't think I'm looking for a BTX form factor but rather a case that when facing its front panel has the MB mounted to the left side panel rather than the right. My desk situation is that the side fans currently exhausting to the left blow into the side of the desk and the whole situation doesn't lend itself to good airflow. I'm hoping that by getting a case that would side exhaust to the right, my airflow would be more effective. Hopefully this is a better explanation...and someone may be aware of a solution. Thanks
John
But essentially, that is what the BTX form factor does... does it not?Originally Posted by faither
Air comes in from the right side and exhausts through the back of the case. All the "hot stuff" which is at the bottom which rises and escapes out the top.
BTW... aren't the side fans for cool air intake with the back for exhaust? That's how I mounted mine... I don't use the sides for exhaust.

That's how it should be set up -- front and side fans for intake, rear/top fans for exhaust.Originally Posted by DarkFury
