A fitting quote for baseball fans

I was doing some work for my son's travel team and came across a quote that fits me to a tee, especially right now. I'll wager it applies to a bunch of other folks here too!

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball.
I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”

    - Rogers Hornsby, Hall of Fame Second Baseman

Totally fitting, eh? Though, I suppose fans of other sports feel the same, just a different times of the year.

    Baseball fans still exist?
It only ends once... Anything that happens before that is just progress.

Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.

    One of my favorites . . .

"There are three things in life that I love: God, my family, and baseball. Problem is, when baseball season starts, the order changes."

Those are both great. I am excited that pitchers and catchers report on Valentine's Day. Now I'll actually look forward to it!

Anyone planning on checking on Spring Training?

I might bring my ball club (www.ballhogsbaseball.com) out for a tournament and to see a Spring Training game or two, but I've not decided yet.

    Will you be heading out?

Hoping to. I didn't make it last year but I really enjoy the games out there. That's a great trip to take you club to. How fun for them!

Yah, the boys (and the dads, and a few of the moms) are super excited about the trip. We've still not been able to nail down the dates, as we have other (qualifying) tournaments to get to.
