I'd say that was one of the most content-free trailers I've seen in a long time.

I plan on using this movie to indoctrinate my 12 year-old son into the Star Trek universe.

This weekend we'll start watching the already-released movies, even Nemisis (yuck), so he'll be up-to-date.

The only worry I have about the new movie is that I might have a problem with Sylar being a Vulcan in the movie. That I may spend the entire movie waiting for him to use his Heroes powers.

*shrug* Still, I'm very much looking forward to it.

Make sure you make him watch ST4. That one was the best star trek movie.

Oh yah, we'll watch them all. My sister bought me all of the Trek movies for Christmas.

I'm still kinda upset that they killed off Data in the last movie though...

That SUCKED!

Maybe somehow, they will one day (in a future movie) find a way to bring him back (hell... if they can revive Spock, then anything is possible.)

I sometimes get tired of Quicktime and uninstall it. I guess I need to play with the settings on it- it likes to make itself a default player. Trying it again. Boy- that is a slow download. Estimated time over eight minutes on a cable modem! And that is just the player download. I watched the hi- def promo. Looks like my system is a little slow to be able to handle it well but my screen can handle the resolution.

the cost of a new computer can be less than the cost of 1 new camera lens.

I just blew a wad on my 26" widescreen monitor from Planar. Yes, that was. Beautiful. Content-free, sure. But so steeped in a more practical and realistic side of the Star Trek universe than we really get to see often.

Finally saw the trailer. I think I said this for another movie and I don't remember the outcome but I'll say it again.

Please oh please let this not suck.
