What to do with pictures of the ex

I was just curious, I am currently in a wonderful relationship and have come across many pictures of my ex, I mean in 7 years you take a lot of pictures. What have you all done with pictures of the ex? Do you trash them, only keep the special pictures, if any, and trash the rest? This is hard, I asked my girlfriend and she said maybe just keep the special ones and chuck the rest.....

But I am not sure there ARE any special ones anymore... the feelings that were there at the time of the picture are no longer there..... I do have the digital ones tucked away..... now what do I do about the paper ones?

Any thoughts?

I threw mine away....but then things didn't really end well with the both of us.

I like to keep all my photos, regardless of who is in them. Many years from now I'm sure you'll want to look back and see who crossed your path and how it changed you.

Photochop her head to some nekkid bodies and put them out on the internet maybe?

It ended ok... I suppose, maybe just keep a few. or photochop her head onto some nekkid chicks and put those chicks next to DF

I'm really torn....I have no emotions towards the pictures really. I have digital pics I'm keeping tucked in a flash drive... but still....

keep the ones that have people you care about on .the rest use to start a camp fire !
or give them to your folks if they like to have them .
now with the photos your keeping.when you find that special someone again dont hide the pictures from them. let them decide how they feel about you keeping them .and if they want you to get rid of them maybe pass the disk on to your parents or someone else that may want them .dont hide them from this new person or you could end up with more pictures you dont know what to do with .

I say burn baby burn!! Why hold on to something that isn't there anymore? Why put pressure on the "new" SO by hanging on to them? Now a new SO is not going to say "Oh keep them" and really mean it. They're saying it, but inside they're thinking: Why in the hell does he want to hang on to those darn pics - is she still in his heart more than me?

Remember the image will be burnt into the brain cells until your last breathing moment.

Get rid of them!! Start over with a clean slate man!!

Either keep them, send them back to the ex and let them decide or burn to disk and call it a day. I would not destroy the photos. Bad mojo for lots of different reasons.

I think it would be odd and bad symbolically to burn them down. Its like saying you hate the person. Tossing them away because there is no reason to keep them i guess is ok. I would simply be respectful of you and the ex. I am odd, i try to be friend's with ex's once the emotions have resolved cause i probably still care about them and hope they still care about me. If i have old things that are theres, i say " i don't have room for 100 big furry animals. would you like any of them or is it cool if i give them away" And usually you talk about a few fun times you had, you realize why you dated and that it was nice while it lasted, and then you move on.
I think that life is too short to hate people you loved. I would rather have them as my friends then have nothing. But not everyone would back me on this. So do what you think is best. Its personal, so really, there isn't a wrong answer. Just make sure you won't regret dumping off everything when you may want to look at one or two down the line.
