What I had for dinner last night....how about you?

    Made a turkey burger...SO GOOD!

1/2 lb of turkey (for 2 people) and blended these spices together

    Pasilla Chilis
    Cumin
    "Mexican Spices" from McCormiks
    salt
    pepper

Mixed it all, threw it on a frying pan ~5 min for each side...

    De...lish!

    Just thought I would share.

    Your turn!

We had Pork Chops and Pasta.

The Pork chops were pan cooked in a red wine vinegar sauce with fresh tomatoes, garlic and capers.

The Pasta was Orzo pasta tossed with fresh chopped spinach, Feta cheese, and fresh squeezed lemon juice.

The entire meal was a hit, even for my little ones.

pork roast made with potato's,carrots, onions ,celery cooked in a pottery pot .
this pot is different in a way . you let the lid soak full of water for about 1/2 hour then empty the water out. you make the roast as normal but dont need to add water as the lid releases it as it cooks and the food come out tender and really flavor full . the stoneware-pot/dutch oven was bought by my wife from pamper chef a while back.

My mother would make a similar dish in a crock pot when I was young, except she added a can of tomato soup to it all. I hated it.

Last night I was having a match at the pool hall, so I settled for a buffalo chicken wrap with fries. However, this past weekend I made a beef stew that I'll be eating up on for lunch all week.

I had a tuna sandwich which wasn't really a sandwich but an open face sandwich on 1 piece of Arnold brand LITE bread..i mixed hot mustard and a few sweet pickle slices with the tuna (which was that all white tuna in water) then I had 1/2 can of drained saurkrout that I placed on top..mmmm it was goooooood. Then I had a Pacific Rose Apple (which I highly recommend), and a glass of diet pepsi....i'm stuffed!

I got out of work a little early so was able to indulge myself a little and actually cook. I made a little angel hair pasta with shrimp, chicken, and spinach in a white wine reduction. Was kinda yummy but I overcooked the angel hair pasta a little because I got distracted with work.

One of my favorite slow cooker meals:

    1 beef roast
1 package of onion soup mix
    1 can of beer

Cooked for about 8 hours of low, serve on a hoagie roll.

A large batch of corn bread (johnny cake)

    And for vegies:
A combination of summer squash, onion, green bell pepper, pan fried and splashed with some balsamic vinegar and spices.

Mmm that sounds good Obby.. but but.. its friday!!! sigh, this whole going to Heaven thing really cuts into my ability to crave bloody animals. I wonder if Blade had these issues...

Oh well, sounds good though. I think i'm cooking up a shrimp quesadilla, and some clam chowder. and perhaps some veggies if i'm feeling adventurous... shudder... veggies, there what's for composting...

Yeh I know it's Friday, and I usually abstain from eating meat on Friday's in lent, but I'm trying to level out my blood sugar and fish just didn't sound real appealing tonight..I'm sure God will forgive me..what I lose by eating meat I make up for in going to Stations of the Cross.

Too exhausted tonight to cook. The only thing I ate so far was a handful of salad olives and some hot peperoncini (SP?) peppers.

I'll more then likely put in more the 30 hours over the weekend alone working. We are moving and I have an entire data center to move (With the help of a few others). I doubt I will be posting in this thread again for a few days!
