    Question

    'Lo All,

I need me a sound card that has a single channel RCA audio input capability. I'd guess the Sound Blaster Live series has this, but damned if I don't understand a word of what those white papers are saying!

Or, are there converters for doing an RCA male to a mini-plug male (the little feller, not the stereo size). I'm trying to do some audio/video capture from a VCR but my Video Capture card only does video.

Finally, do you think that I'd just be better off getting a better video capture card that does both audio and video? Will that prevent synching problems?

    TIA,
    cheffie

There are converters. You can use the same plugs that come with a portable CD player. Those are RCA(male) to mini-stereo. And you can get RCA gender benders from Radio Hack or wherever. It will work. I can't really say what the quality will be. There are other sound cars made for recording purposes out there. the Darla, Gadget Labs, MAudio. Hope this helps.
