I can't open a wav. file in Windows Media Player or the Realtek Player. If I remember correctly, I didn't allow wav. files to be played under those programs when I installed them on one of my computers. But they will play MP3 files.

Open an explorer window. Go to Tool > Folder Options. Select the File Types and you could change the program associate with WAV extension.

Thanks, bach. Windows media Player had the wav. file associated with it. I decided to change it to Realtek Sound Manager, however, the wav. file still will not open. An error code states something about a wave decompressor.
