I bought the 128meg stick for $46.00 about a month ago and I am running it at 133 and cas2 I know it's not rated for cas2 but in Unreal Tourny and CS I have had no lockups or anything.

This is the cheapest stuff at AccessMicro. You can get the 128MB stick for around $45. Any others? Compatability problems? Anyone try higher than 133Mhz?

Using two 128MB sticks on my Abit KA7, a notoriously picky mobo when it comes to RAM.

I haven't had a single problem. Works great!

works fine for me. Then again, I'm still running a K6-2 400 w/ 100 MHZ bus on an Asus P5A mobo

I bought a stick of the 128MB 133mhz SDRAM back when it was going for $95 (it was a good deal at the time!). I had problems with system stability and lock ups. Checked my BIOS and found that it was being reported as PC100, not PC133, even though that's what I ordered and what was listed on the packing slip. Had to get a RA# and send it back to them. They sent me out a new stick and so far, no problems. Other than having the hassle of sending it back and paying the shipping to get it there (return shipping for the replacement was on them), I have no complaints. I just wish I had known that prices were going to plummet right after I bought it!

Why is this posted here and not in the overclocking forum?

    Wink

Because the RAM is a hot deal. This is the cheapest stuff you can find. What has been holding some people back though (including me) is its unknown overclocking potential.
If we get plenty of reports of successful overclocks of 138 Cas2 to 143 Cas2, this deal would be that much hotter.
