Does anyone know of a program/way to take control and release control of the serial port drivers in Windows 2000? Similar to 'net stop serial' and 'net start serial' in Windows NT...
At my work we have the need to run our software which takes control of the serial port, but also to run some other programs, so we close our program which the relinquishes control of the serial port and we're good to go.. With Windows 2000 we can't find a way without editing the registry and rebooting... talked to Microsoft and that was their solution
We have no problem writing some software for it, but can't find anything for 2000 on what needs to be done.
