Thread: Win2k harddisk errors?

    My machine has been freezing up and when I reboot I look at the eventvwr and I have this error:
    the driver detected a controller error on \device\harddisk0\dr0

    Anyone ran into this? Any info would be apprieciated. Thxs

    I would try replacing the IDE cable. Maybe try a different controller--if you're attaching the hdd to the motherboard, maybe use the other connection.

    I've tried technet and the web, and there are other people having the same issue. They seem to think that it has something to do with running two drive's on the same IDE channel. I will try to replace the cable though. Thanks, and if you have any other thoughts let me know.
