    Over the Air Digital TV

I have a Hauppauge USB card for receiving analog and digital signals. I am using their tiny antenna which came with the unit. The analog signals are a bit grainy, but that could be due to the quality and size and placement of the antenna.

The picture quality of the digital signal is quite a bit better but the picture is constantly freezing. The processor is definitely not the problem since it's an Intel Q6600 quad core unit.

I am thinking that an internal card with hardware encoding may solve the problem??

it could be the signal strength too. sometimes, when I walk in front of my antenna, the digital pictures will freeze for a second. Maybe check for some signal strength meters. Not sure if there's software that does that, but a lot of tv's will have how strong the ota signa is that's coming through.
