Question who is right here (in this story ) ?

A 440-pound New York City man said he was playing poker in an Atlantic City casino for 17 hours Tuesday and didn't have time to clean up. He understands why grossed-out gamblers complained about his body odor, but said he didn't deserve stinky treatment from the casino that asked him to leave.

Dave Coskey, a spokesman for the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, said it is company policy not to comment on matters involving customers.

Wax said he told casino officials: "There's no question I stink. I'm not denying it. I do have an odor. I've been playing for 17 hours."

The 54-year-old limousine company owner, who says he is a frequent gambler at the Borgata, said a poker room manager followed him into the restroom and informed him that patrons at his table were complaining about his body odor.

When the Brooklyn man tried to retake his seat at the table, he said a manager told him to leave. He said he asked for a free room to freshen up, and the casino refused.

He promptly filed a complaint about his treatment with the Casino Control Commission. His complaint will be reviewed to determine whether any state gambling laws or regulations were violated, a commission spokesman said Wednesday.

Wax said his instincts tell him to find a different casino to patronize, but he likes gambling at the Borgata. He said the casino was out of line to tell him he stinks in front of other patrons.

"I would like an apology," Wax said.
i feel the casino is in the right in asking the guy to leave.

What? He's made about someone saying he stinks in the casino, but he tells a paper that he stinks?

    I'm on the casino's side.

Casino, all the way. He doesnt have a "right" to be there. They can choose not to want him as a patron, and he can choose stink friendly casinos.
Am I alone here? Is that it?
Am I the only one who sees.

Maybe we can learn to be just like him.

Seems pretty clear cut to me. Guy admitted that he stinks, other patrons were complaining about it. The casino should have the right to refuse service if they so choose. To make matters worse, he was playing poker, which requires others in close proximity. If he were feeding money into slots where people could stay away it probably wouldn't have been such an issue.

If this guy were a whale he would have been comped a room and there wouldn't have been an issue. I guess he doesn't spend enough money in the casino for them to care if he takes his business elsewhere.

If he was a high roller then he would have been comped a room and he could have freshened up. Something tells me he was a little ripe before he got in there.

poker guys don't get anything comped. poker is not a money maker for the casino unless you start playing thousands of dollars a hand.
even at 17 hrs, he probably wouldn't get anything more than a meal. if he was over at the other table games for 17 hrs, i'm sure they would've given him a free room, even if you're playing table minimums.

When ODOR becomes "OH DEAR!!!" it's time to leave....

This sounds as if he were past his "expiration date" for freshness.

Poor fat slob was embarrassed and unfortunately had his rights violated. If there isn't a policy saying you got to keep a clean ass to play here then he right to call foul, no matter how stanky that arse was.

Does he really have any right to be there? Being a private establishment, I think they can refuse service however they want (as long as it's not against something like race or religion). If he was being loud, or using profanity, they could kick him out, right? Why not if he smells?

There were no right violations, I don't think. Embarrassment on his part, but that's about it.
