NBC, you are ruining a great olympics for me

Everyone is watching this time, everyone is talking about the Olympics.

On to my rant of the day. NBC you idiotic morons you are ruining it.

    Cox Orange County

    704 NBC HD
    722 USA HD
    744 Uni HD
    750 CNBC HD
    796 Uni BB HD
    797 Uni FB HD
    Telemundo
    MSNBC
    nbcolympics.com

With 8+ venues to show live and taped content I do NOT understand why we on the west coast are cheated from seeing the olympics live

I can understand showing them live on NBC PrimeTime East Coast, I can even see why for advertising and ratings it is delayed on 704 for us Socal people.

Why for pete's sake does U HD and CNBC carry the same feed? Both had the same live softball game. Why would I want or need that?

They should be showing the live NBC east coast feed on Universal HD 744, for us who actually care to watch live, others can all pile into the time delayed 704 Feed.

Even if I didn't watch in prime time west coast NBC, I would be watching the Ads from Prime Time NBC east coast. Zero Loss to NBC.

I am so furious with this poor decision.

I understand in 1996 when NBC and USA were the only channels they had access to, but this is 2008, the internet tells me the score the second it happens, why can't my tv!?

West coast got hosed. I'm glad i'm back on the east coast for the remainder of the Olympics.

The funny thing is, NBC fought with the IOC to change the schedule around so that they could broadcast every event live around the world. Looks like they screwed up with the west coast.

Yeap whenever I see the "LIVE" wording on the top right corner during the NBC HD broadcast at night, I chuckle.

I knew the results 3 hours ahead of the broadcast and I watched some of the feed online.

Wow, I didn't know anyone was actually that into the Olympics anymore I just watch a few things every now and then when I catch myself in front of the TV.

The other day I chose to watch Dallas get beat by SD in the Preseason game instead though.

Although I agree and haven't figured out what the point of 3000 Olympic channels is when they are showing the same thing most of the time on a lot of the channels. Worthless.

Yeah that Live logo at the top of the screen is totally misleading. Plus the NBC website posts results before it's shown on the west coast.

    *******s.

I can't stand the bull**** human interest back stories that make up the majority of the Olympics "coverage."

And its always the same story, "A small-town girl/boy, woke up at 4am in the morning everyday to train, now forced into the international spotlight, one goal one destiny it all comes down to this for all the marbles blah blah blah."

Besides, you'll only get to see events that U.S. is good at. So no judo, no badminton, no table tennis, no modern pentathalon....

That's why I am catching badminton online. I love watching badminton and I used to play in HS/college.
