If you're looking for a desktop replacement laptop, the Inspiron 1720 is a great one to consider with its 17 inch display and huge features. The one that they've released until 8/28/08 is loaded with a Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz processor, a 1440x900 resolution LCD display, 3GB of memory, 320GB SATA hard drive, DVD+/-RW burner, a 2.0 MP webcam and 802.11g wireless card. It comes with Windows Vista Home Premium installed. I would definitely upgrade to the anti-glare display for FREE and since it's a large computer already, probably get the larger 9 cell battery just to have the juice with me on the road.
