I started counting calories starting September 1st. I've noticed that things I normally eat and think is healthier calorie wise is not. One slice of Costco pizza is 800 cal which is the same as a 12 inch cold cut trio from Subway. The homemade sandwich I ate with 2 slices of turkey and roast beef each is about 650 calories which is the same as one large bowl of Pho or the same as 3 crunchy tacos from Taco Bell.
It's early but I think it's an interesting experiment I'm conducting on myself. I started because I have high as a kite cholesterol and got a nice Homer size belly beginning to blossom. I keep track using Google Calendar and use the dailyplate.com to look up calorie information. I don't exercise normally but do take the stairs.
Anybody else tried doing this?
