absolutely terrible blown call in WS game

how did the 3rd base ump miss longoria shoving his glove up the runner's a$$ when he was still 2 feet away from the base? what else was he looking at? hand meet runner. OUT!

now i hate the phillies because they got a bs call which got them a free run. how hard would it be to give each team 2 replays/game??? especially on stuff like this?

Isn't this specifically the reason why it was so hard to get replay implemented, even in such a limited capacity. Right now it is just fair foul. Next it will be plays at home plate. Then you'll have just about everything subject to replay and baseball games that already run over 3 hours will run 3.5 or 4 hours.

Don't get me wrong, I want to see them get the calls right but I could see this really snowballing.

By the way, the Rays got a "free run" on in game 3 when the baserunner (can't remember who) got called safe at 1st base when Howard clearly had the ball caught (with his barehand) before the runner hit the base. He later went on to score in the inning.
It only ends once... Anything that happens before that is just progress.

Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.

i blame joe the plumber. oh wait, wrong forum.

Yeah, it was a blown call...a really really terrible call. That's okay, because the umpire will be going to counseling with Ed Hocholi.

I dunno, replays kind of take the fun out of arguing whether an ump was right or wrong. I will admit, I'm watching this series and I can't believe how many calls they've blown on plays and pitches. Umps are supposed to have like a 98% accuracy rate, but I doubt we're seeing that in the WS.

The strike zone last night for Tampa was ridiculous.
