Great game for the money. It's also not too old as to make it seem like a lame gift. If anything, it's a pretty solid game and at $9.99, it's a steal! Check out IGN's REVIEW.

I just picked this up yesterday at my local game stop for $10. Don't know if it's a nationwide deal, though.
