So, what's on the plate for Christmas,(Holiday), dinner?

Just wondering what everyone considers traditional for their holiday dinner. I guess some still like a turkey like Tiny Tim's family. Had that last year.

    But I am having:

Slow cooked bone-in aged rib roast with my own homemade dry rub
    au jus
    kelaguen (guamanian chicken dish)
    Chamorro rice
    fresh veggies
    salad
    potato
    pumpkin pie
    apple pie
    guyuria (guamanian cookie)
ahu (guamanian sweet young coconut dish)

I do a herb crusted slow cooked bone-in rib roast. Herb crust is chopped fresh basil, fresh oregano, fresh rosemary, kosher salt, ground pepper, thin slices of garlic and olive oil.

Uncledaady, what's in your dry rub. Or is it a secret recipe? I also bought a boneless, rib roast. Looking to try something new.

Each religion has got their own way of making you feel like a victim. The Christians say 'you are a sinner', and you better just zip up your trousers and give the money to the pope and we'll give you a room up in the hotel in the sky.

    Kosher salt
    Coarsely ground black pepper
    White pepper
    Rosemary
    Thyme
    Coriander
    Crushed fresh garlic
    Garlic Powder
    Onion Powder
    Olive oil

    (I think that's it. )

I definitely stay away from oregano and cloves. Those are too strong for me.
