    RIP Lux Interior

Who? He was the leader of the 80's punk- rockabilly style band The Cramps. They did the Rockabily thing before Brian Setzer did. He was certainly not boring. Who else would go and play a show at a mental hospital?

Yeah, he was a little crazy too. But his shows were a wild time.
His girlfriend Poison Ivy played guitar in the band which was also something different.

He is an aquired taste. I thought he was pretty odd the first time I saw him in a video but the music is quite good.
I add new pictures to my photo gallery pretty regularly. You can see them here if you are interested: http://www.pbase.com/jeffryz

The Cramps rock, man. Once you get past the androgenous looks and all the camp, its all hard dance-your-ass-off punk-rockabilly with Lux channeling the spirit of Screamin' Jay Hawkins, both in his singing and his songwriting. He will be missed my many. He should be missed by all.

(I've got the whole recording of that gig they played at Napa State Mental Hospital on DVD, btw. It may be the greatest show ever filmed in the history of mankind)
