It will certainly depend on the yogurt. First you get lactose which is a sugar from the milk the yogurt is made from. Second, the fruit will also provide sugar. Then the manufacturer may add more sugar or some artificial sweetner. I am not a fan of fake sugars. Then you need to look at the serving size. How many servings in one yogurt? Usually just one- and that may be either six or eight ounces depending on the size of the container.

According to their website, one suggested serving of a Reece's peanut butter cup is 51 grams and contains 15 grams of fat. http://www.hersheys.com/products/det...buttercups.asp A lowfat Yoplait yogurt is six ounces or 170 grams- more than three times as much. They are listed at 2.5 grams of fat. http://calorielab.com/brands/yogurt/23 so if you compare fat or sugar per same size, the Reeces has both more sugar and more fat.

Some people focus too much on just the sugar content of foods. Even though according to this a yogurt may have more sugar than a Reeces Peanut Butter Cup, the yogurt will be better for you from a health standpoint. The peanut butter cup will have some protein (from the peanuts) but the rest is mostly sugars and fats. If the yogurt is low or non fat it will have less fat and more nutritional components.

Even at their serving sizes, the Reece's has nearly the same sugar as the Yoplait. If you went by nutritional information and only looked at the sugar content you might conclude that the Reece's is better than the Yoplait- and it is not. People should be more cautious of "empty calorie" sugars like sodas.
