the egg thread reminded me of a cool flash app to tell you exactly how long to cook your eggs...

haha cool.
after reading many "the perfect hard-boiled egg" recipes, which were all slightly different but largely the same, i've boiled it down to one simple formula.
1. place eggs in room temperature water over high heat
2. once water reaches full boil, wait 3 minutes
3. turn off heat, cover pot and wait 8 minutes.
4. done
simply reduce length of step 3 if you want something a little softer. damn, now i'm hungry.
Thanks! I had a couple of great eggs earlier b/c of your procedure!
