I bought this directly from Escort 3 weeks ago. If you have an ancient, outdated detector, Escort will give you $80 trade in. They also threw in an extra car mount for my other car worth $9.95 and sold me the 3 year update for half price of $15 all with free shipping including they paid for my old trade in shipping. Net cost after trade $435 for detector, extra mount plus 3 years of updates. Then after I had it 2 weeks, they upgraded the 9500ix to be powered off the usb for updates, no more 12V adapter needed so they paid to return mine for an exchange for the improved. If anyone gets it from Buy.com, be sure it's the newest model. BTW, it's a great detector.
