was just off the phone with a older lady. she wants me to come out monday . if i can get a computer up and running for her that her son gave to her 5 1/2 years ago.
she said she dont know what it needs but its sat all this time unused. she said her son gave it to her when he got his new one. this could turn out being very interesting. its the mother to a woman my wife works with. not seeing it im crossing my fingers and hoping its not a old desktop. my first thoughts are if it dont work i just swap it out with one i have here that laying around.
my second thought is if at all possible to swap inners if this is a tower. but my other thought is i wonder what version of windows is on it and how old this unit is really going to be.
she said it was her sons and he gave it to her when he got a new one.
also told me the son has died so i know it'll have sentamental value to her. so i may just do my very best try and fine parts for a old dinosaur of a paper weight !
it be really nice if it just needs to be hooked up -plugged in and works !
