I just got a new ps2 and I was wondering what games are good for it?

Madden 2001 - definately going to buy this
SSX
DOA2 Hardcore

Anything else worth $50???

Just read that EA BIG is making SSX: DVD, kinda of a director's cut for SSX. Release date is this fall.

Well, for PS2 rite now.. the only two good games out are Madden 2K1 and SSX... well.. at least from what I hear anyways. You could get SSX for around 35 bucks at

I just got NBA Live 2001: WACK! I was so looking forward to this, too, and it's just such a huge disappointment, especially considering how good and complete Madden is. The season function is awful, the out-of-game navigation and controls are unintuitive (and that's being VERY generous), and the game just seems clunky, overwrought, and ponderous.

The biggest thing I hate is that the trading feature is horrible: one player for one player. Part of the allure of these games is that they allow you to match GM wits with the computer. Not so with this game.

I'm glad I only paid $20 for this piece of crap. I'll still be playing Madden when I have free time, and I got NBA Live last night.

I thought that Power Stone 2 for Dreamcast was a really fun game and I was wondering if you guys think that game or anything like it will come out for PS2??
