I hope you had a nice weekend. I did.
Saturday we all took turns doing various, running all over the place tasks, then we headed over to the Apple store because I wanted to get my wife an new iPod, and see the iPad.
Naturally, it was crazy busy, so there was no seeing the iPad without going ninja on the crowds, but the iPod area was dead. So I told the sales guy there we needed an 8GB touch, and he said, "well, I have to go into the back to pick it up; play with my iPad while I do so."
20 minutes later, and it took all my will to walk out of that store without one. Yes, they are that cool. Cool doesn't mean useful, I mean, it's not a laptop replacement in my mind. I like it better then netbooks, though. No, too mean, it's a Kindle with some nads to it. The iBook store was really cool, the unit was very fast, if a touch heavy...I could totally see having one. But we are holding out for the 2nd gen, or an influx of money not set aside for repairs and taxes.
Sunday we did the family thing, and by the end of the little one was in Easter meltdown mode. But it was a good day, and while I'm a little zonked out this morning, I'm functional.
You go have a day.
