Wow, Wednesday already? Cool.

I got a call from Best Buy yesterday, setting me up for an appointment to get the HTC Evo 4G on Friday. Apparently they had 57 preorders, are seriously understaffed, and are setting up these appointments in hopes of avoiding a crazy rush they can't handle. So, odd, but at least it sounds like I'll at least get the phone.

Kind of crazy though. I've never preordered a phone before, much less had a smart phone. I mean, I don't like talking to people much, so phones are just for emergency web browsing use. But, there is some good stuff here I think I'll like/use, so I'm excited. For a phone.

We live at a really strange time. There was a time people got excited when they didn't get polio. We get excited over yet another phone. I'm not sure what that says about us.
