Opinions on this are welcome...
On Jan. 18, I order a set of Callaway X-12 irons from Dick's clearance area for $269 (plus I used the 10% off coupon). On the 21st, I receive an e-mail that the order's been cancelled -- no stock. I do the irate phone call and e-mail thing with their CSR's, to no avail. Lo and behold, I go back to the website yesterday and the sticks reappear, though no longer on clearance (now $629). I order them, get confirmation that the irons have shipped, and fire off a wicked (but professional) e-mail to Dick's that based on my previous order and the way in which it was handled, I expect them to honor the clearance price.
Two questions, 1) What should they do? 2) What will they do?
Has anyone had anything close to a similar experience? BTW, picked up two GoreTex shells with zipper in fleece for $74 each (80% off).
