ss -day -wifes still at the hospital .

day started off having to go to a wake at 10 am. at ll am. were let out of the funeral home to head to the church for the services. while in the car waiting for people to get it together in other cars. Wife gets a call from her mom. mom saids i fell out of bed last night and I'm still on the floor.
we pull the funeral flag -and drive to mother inlaws. we get in the house and she is on the floor between the bed and the wall.
(mother inlaw is 83 years young (about 300 lbs and 5ft 5 inchs maybe a little taller ) wife is a physical rehab RN .and me tried to get her up on the bed. like i said tried. i had to get a friend over and him and i got her up to the bed . then we got her transfer to her walker cart. but this was after me and the wife had pulled her out from between the bed and the wall. wife pushing her and me pull her by her feet/legs on her wood floor in the bedroom.
at noon the wifes sisters and her decide she needed to go to the hospital and get checked out.
will its 9:25 pm and wife just text me and said there going to be keeping mom .there just waiting to find a room to place her on a floor . they did just get mom a tv dinner.
i know the wife is one happy camper about now .and this is at the hospital she works at.(also is her day off ).
i got to take the room apart and rest the bed and dresser so if it happens again we can have a lot better chance of getting her mom up off the floor . time for pain killers my back is tweeked !

moms got to infections it turns out. plus her meds are off.
wifes sisters are taking turns as a sitter for her in the hospital. the hospitals trying to get her stable so she can be transfer to the wife unit ( adult physical rehab. unit ) they tested her today to see if she be a candidate. she is to weak right now. they hope by monday or tuesday ( wife is anyway ). wifes working 7p-7a this weekend and her unit is one floor up from were her mom is. so she'll check in on her in the am /sit with her for a hour or 2 in the morning .also like said avail if anything is needed tonight.the sisters 3 of them are doing like 16-18 sitting duty right now till like 10 at night. if not the hospital would of supplyed a sitter for her as she a bit confused at the moment. wifew going on vacation to tampa next week and really hoping she gets on the unit before she leaves . we know she get a one help there .even do the help on the floor she at now is good.i keep this post going till she get home (don't look like she be heading to florida this year as a snow bird anyway.

the sisters are having a tiff . the oldest of my wifes sister is pissed becouse the others siblings are not arriving like she thinks they should to sit with mom. the oldest thinks there should be someone there every hour she awake. funny to me as the womans in a hospital and 2 of 4 sisters are RN's my wife being one of them and happens to be employed at this hospital in the rehab unit. moms on a med surg. 1 floor below the wifes unit.and maybe monday she be transfer to the wifes unit.keeping fingers crossed she is well enough to do this. ps.the one bitching is not a nurse go figure.

Good thing your wife works there... it makes a huge difference in the care someone gets if there's someone looking out for them.

mother in-law was transfer to the adult physical rehab.unit today (wifes unit) so she be there for 5 to 7 days wifes off next 2 days then on vacation for 5 to see are daughter in Tampa.i get to house sit are pets. but we know that mom be in good hands as all the employees know it's the wifes mom and they will treat her like a queen i believe.
