Stella had some trauma yesterday. She was sent out to get a jacket she had left outside during recess towards the end of the school day. She got out there and couldn't get back in because the doors locked. So she is pounding on the door, crying, trying to get in and the buses show up, as that is the back alley of the school where they come around. She was finally let in by a Home Base teacher (after school care). Now, I dunno what exactly was going on. Did the teacher send a six year old by herself outside and then forget about her? Or, as is quite possible, did Stella misunderstand and go off by herself? I don't know. We are trying to figure that out. I'm not going ballistic on it, but I'm not thrilled about it either.
