    Question

I just started setting up my PC as dual boot Win98se and Win2k. I'm about halfway through it (98 installed) and I'm wondering if I even need 98 anymore. So my question is:

Other than gaming, what applications have cause incompatibility problems on Win2k?

Some of the applications I will be running are
    MS Visual Studios 6.0
    Adobe Photoshop
    Macromedia Flash
(Whatever other art programs my sister would use)
    AIM

You should have no problems running any of those programs. The only thing that I have had trouble with in the past was my parallel scanner. I think it's time to go USB...

USB is definately the way to go.

Currently, I have zero devices connected to my paralell-port. In terms of USB, here's what I am constantly hot-swapping:

    USB FM Radio (D-Link)
    Sidewinder Pro gamepad
    Photosmart P1100 inkjet (Review)
    Scanjet 3300C (Review)
    Photosmart 315 digital camera
    Intel Easy PC Camera webcam
    Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical

To manage this, I currently have a 4-port D-Link USB hub.... still means I disconnect devices often though.

The best part of this is, all these devices work flawlessly on Win2k (except for the webcam, which I haven't actually tried under this OS yet).

    **EDIT**
Sorry for all these edits you may be seeing here, I'm stumbling a bit with the vB code here.

    USB KILLED MY WIN2k

    (see my post)

Win2k hates my USB devices-I have five. I can run some of them, but not all of them, or Win2k gets poopy.
