    Easter dinner

Had a bit of a competition for easter with my sister. We each had 6 guests and made 6 mini sample plates for each others guests.

Both of us decided to plate our dinners...and here was my lineup.

    Apéritif
    Bonterra Chardonnay 2009

    Antipasta
An assortment of cured meats, cheeses, and olives

    Appetizer
Bella Mushrooms stuffed with chicken, basil, and sun-dried tomatoes

    Soup
Italian Wedding Soup with baby spinach

    Salad
Chicory salad with Anjou pears and a raspberry balsamic vinaigrette

    Intermezzo
    Lemon sorbet

    Entrée
Orange glazed ham with herbed fingerling potatoes and honey glazed baby carrots

    Digestif
    Choice of:
    Glenlivet 18y
    Johnnie Walker Black 12y
    Johnnie Walker Green 15y
    Limoncello

    Dessert
A parfait made with fresh strawberries and a lemon and white chocolate mousse
Am I alone here? Is that it?
Am I the only one who sees.

Maybe we can learn to be just like him.
    Wear a little uniform.
    Yes, sir.
    No, sir.
    Thank you, sir.

I adore men who can cook (besides grilling meat!)

She helped out with getting the place ready, decorating the table, running out and getting last minute food, locating and picking up a sodium nitrate free ham, as well as being a sous-chef, dessert chef, and dish washer inbetween courses.

Which reminds me of one of the hardest parts of the meal, everything was free of HFC, sodium nitrate, gluten, and tree nuts.

I think your gf and I would get along well.
I am big on not eating anything with nitrates/nitrites in them.
I try to steer clear of trans fat, "hydrogenated" anything and HFC syrup also.

    nuts are fine though.
