For some reason, I take commercials seriously and personally. If you make an obnoxious commercial my blood pressure goes up and I *must* mock you for it.
My current nemeses:
1. The Trojan Bare Skin commercial. What's to like about this commercial? The creepy dance the couples are doing? The awful 70's porno music? The douchy look the guy gives trojan man at the end? That they keep airing the commercial just about EVERY break. Or the fact that every time they name the product, I hear Bear Skin?
2. The Passat Audio commercial with Rocket Man playing. In the age of the internet, you can look up your own damned lyrics. Don't get me wrong: I love good car audio. But I'd rather the selling point be how it brings music to life, not that dorks who can't look up what they've been singing for years suddenly will have an epiphany.
3. Energizer's FreezeFrame commercial. Sorry, I just can't stand that song. It reminds me of those middle school dances where it would play and no one would know how to dance to it. Aside from being a repetitive shtty song, it gets stuck in my head to the point I want to put a burning q-tip up my nose.
4. Just about any commercial that has borrowed a hit/classic/seasonal song but rewrote the lyrics to fit whatever they're selling.
