My gas dryer has stopped igniting. I put a load in the dryer before bed, only to find it was still tumbling the next morning. The basement reeked of gas.
I've gone through a ton of web searches, and everything points to the igniter, the fuse, and the thermostats. I went to a parts store where they pulled up my whirlpool and verified continuity in those parts.
I even blew through the tubing in the dryer to confirm gas could get through if it wanted.
Still, the dryer tumbles, yet no flame.
I replaced the igniter and the fuse with no avail. P.S. The gas smell is gone when the dryer is run.
My only remaining thoughts are that gas is somehow not reaching the burner, or the timer has something wrong.
Anyone else have any ideas?
