What do you need it for? PhotoShop might be better for what you need to do with it.

Head to a good bookstore (better, call 'em) and ask for this months copy of ComputerArts Magazine. They have a trial copy of PhotoShop 6.0 on the CD that comes with it each month.
I'd send you mine, but I'm out in the Aleutians for another couple of weeks and mail can take a LONG while to get out of here.

Yeah, I've considered the trial, but they don't allow you to save or print.

Kristina...it's ok, I was just giving you a hard time for no reason. I totally understand your decision...I've been there a few times myself! I guess I should of pointed you towards my selling rating on E-Bay, maybe that would of made you feel more comfortable. Anyway, if you have ICQ AND a fast connection ie: cable, or DSL I'll send you the file. I think it's 5.5 but I could be mistaken (I use a different paint program anyway).

normally you the more you post the higher your rank, but i feel completely comfortable raising peoples ranks for certain favors

Exactly what hapoo said. Actually, I have since opted for Jasc's PaintShop Pro. It's a heck of a lot easier to use and basically has all the same functions as PS. There's definately a learning curve for both programs, but for me PS Pro is quite a bit more user friendly. I use it for photo's, art, graphics ect... And no, I'm not a designer...just a part time computer nerd. Basically my machine is a high-end frag machine! LOL

I think those two are the main things i use it for. every once in a while i'll come up with a new use for it.
I just ask because it seems rather pricey for "everyone" to just have (I know you were generalizing). Although, maybe "everyone" knows someone nice to hook them up like me. =) I actually want it so that I can be proactive and do some training at home. I was told that they will start giving me design projects at my job because I told my supervisor I'm interested. I figure the more I know, the more they will give me.
