Good Headphones

Hey All,

I'm looking for some suggestions on good headphones. The cheaper the better, but I would be willing to pay around the $100 range if they are really awesome. Right now I'm thinking about the Koss Pro4AA from amazon.com for 79 bucks.

There was a time I was looking for a good pair of headphones. When I look I discovered the Technics RF-F800 have the best price (msrp $100) and best quality. For the younger crowd of course for the bass bumpin booty shaking action. If you can find a review on the headphones you'll be pleasantly suprised for the bang for the buck.

I assume you are looking for a closed-design headphone?

Look into the Sennheiser HD500 "Fusion" Full-Size Headphone.

The Sennheiser HD570 is just a "little" more at $119.94

The cheapest Sennheiser you should get is probably the HD495 Silver.

i would have to agree with leon on the sennheiser hd570, or step up to the hd580 with the dsp unit.

The owner is very knowledgeable and eager to help. I e-mailed him and he went WAY out of his way for me. I've finally decided on the Technic DJ1200's. If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll tell you how I like them when I get them.

I would go with the sennheisers hd500, but thats 'cause I listen to more classical music and jazz. If you need a little more "power" and not as much clarity, get grado's. Check out the info on both companies at http://www.headphone.com not only do they have good reviews, they have decent prices too. If you can, the best for rock are probably the grado 225's. But looks like you want to spend as little as possible. In that case, you can't go wrong with the Grado sr60's for $69.

Yeah, I would definately get a pair of Grados, but unfortunately I need a set of closed headphones to block out the noise of a noisy computer lab.

Ah, closed cans ye need. Well if you have a lil' more than a $100. . . ($180 or so) get the Beyerdynamic's DT 250-80. But since this is got|apex I'm assuming you want something cheaper. So, I would go with the Koss R100. Very decent closed set of cans for around $70.
