Thread: Unbelievable! MCI just called - $75 in phone cards

  1. #1

    Talking

MCI just called and I was about to hang up because I hate phone solicitors, but she asked if she could lure me back to MCI with a gift. My ears, of course, perked up as she offered me $75 in pre-paid calling cards. I switched in 2 minutes and I love that 2 phone companies are fighting over me:

    AT&T $20
    MCI $150
    AT&T $80
    MCI $75

MCI is in the lead, but we'll have to see how AT&T feels about losing my business

Keep playing it, that's such a great idea! And to think, I usually hang up on them...
Shall we buy a new guitar?
Shall we drive a more powerful car?

Yeah, I know, I can't believe that phone solicitors actually got me to talk nice for once...
And not to mention that I am making a ton of money off of switching long distance companies every month. They even are including a check to cover switching costs, i.e. no money out of my pocket.

in the past 4 months, i've maybe paid 30 bucks total for my home phone.

every month we switch and get more money.

i'd rather be down the shore
OH SNAP! guess where I am?

I was living down the jersey shore before Jersey Shore.

How does anyone even watch that show???

Try to shell out as much as you can from AT&T. They're willing to pay a lot just to keep you as their customer. Once I switched from aT&T to MCI for a promotion. Then I got a $100 check that I could activate by calling and switching back to AT&T(YES!! $100 in cash!!!). Unfortunately earlier that same day I had already switched back to AT&T for a phone card. So I call them up saying "hey, I switched back to your service already and then got your $100 check. Can you still activate it for me even though I'm already a customer?" Their answer:

"Of course! We'll do anything to keep you as a customer."

    damn...I was happy.
