I wonder if anyone out there can help me out with a problem I'm having...
I just picked up a digital camera and a SanDisk Imagemate USB CF reader. Everything seems to work ok, except I can't boot my system with the Imagereader plugged in. I've tried it in all of my USB ports and nothing.
If I unplug the reader, I can boot fine. After booting, I can plug the reader in and the reader works like a champ. I just can't boot with the reader plugged in.
Nothing major, but it is a major pain in the butt to have to unplug the darn thing just so I can boot my system.
I'm running an IWILL KA266 with a 1.1 GHz Athlon and a DLink 4 port USB hub. Yes, right now I have a total of 6 USB devices hooked up, 7 if you count the Imagereader.
-MS Natural Keyboard Elite
-MS Intellimouse Explorer
-HP Photosmart P1100 printer
-Epson Perfection 1200U scanner
-Handspring USB HotSync cradle
-MS Gamevoice
All the latest drivers have been installed. All devices work fine, both with and without the Imagereader plugged in.
Anyone else have any experience with this CF readers?

What OS are you running? IF I remember correctly, I had a similar problem with mine under W98 a while ago.
There is a software patch on the Sandisk website that you can install that takes care of this problem (if it's the same issue I had, that is...)

Ooops
Forgot to tell you my OS...
I'm running Win2k with SP1 and the Hot fix thing they had online.
I just think it is weird that the Imagemate won't even let my computer boot when it is plugged in. I don't think it is an OS issue. I can't get past the floppy search...
Like I said in my first message, the reader works great if I plug it in after I boot, I just can't have it plugged in if I want to boot my computer.
