I like Nero better. At first, Adaptec users prefer it over Nero more because they are used to the interface. But in my opinion, Nero is more versatile. For more information on Nero (what's supported etc), you might visit Ahead's website.

I've found them both to stink....
...on my burner (Sony CRX-100E, firmware N) in Win2k. Adaptec 4 has trouble with buffere underruns, and Nero will jsut forget my CDR is there halfway into burning. Luckily, I dual boot, and Nero is the prog I use, as of Jan2001, when I pitched Adaptec on the advice of those here.

My two cents...
I don't understand why so many people seem to hate Adaptec. I've used it with three different burners on both Win98 and Win2k and have never had any issues with it. It does everything I want it to without a glitch. I can make audio CDs, bootable CDs, create CDs from ISO images, etc. Not to knock Nero - that's not my point - I just don't get this Adaptec hatred thing.

well, i can't say i HATE adaptec. Its just that i prefer Nero. You get so much more control over what you want to do with Nero. Its like comparing a Mac and a PC, on one you have usablilty on the other you have total control.
