ARGHH!! Why the hell is it so hard to find a roommate in this city!

Yeah, so I'm looking to find a roommate. One that likes and wants to live in Downtown Los Angeles.

I've got a line on a sweet two bedroom, $1775/month. I need to move on it as soon as possible. The place has 2br, 2 bath, and the building has parking, pool, sauna, workout room, two outdoor barbeques, hot tub, and 24 doormen. I live there now, and it's really close to all the office buildings downtown.

The only thing is: I can only fill one bedroom with me. And there are no free sites out there that list a healthy number of roommates. Anyone know of a good site?

If anyone knows ANYONE that would be interested, let me know. The economies of scale that come with a roommate are staggering.

in san diego, we have a free newspaper called the reader. online it's http://www.sdreader.com . i know it's not LA, but, point is, is there a free paper up there?
