    Post

I'm running Win2000 professional and can't seem to get my cd-rom to play my cd's. I've hooked up a the audio out on my cd-rom (matshita cd-rom cr-589) to the audio-in my sound blaster live value card, but can't seem to get any music when I play my cd's! I have checked the "enable digital audio" in the hardware preferences for my cd-rom, but, alas, to no success! Help! I can play mp3's fine. Just no cd's!

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

A few other stupid things it might be...

    1. DO you have speakers? (I'm a PC Tech/Ntwr Admin, and Ive had manager do that)
    2. Is there Power going to the speakers?
    3. Are you sure the speakes are in the right port?
    4. The SB Live has 3 connections on the board, do you have it on th eright one?
Am I alone here? Is that it?
Am I the only one who sees.

Maybe we can learn to be just like him.
    Wear a little uniform.

Thanks guys! Overlooked the sound control panel. It wasn't muted, but the volume was on the off setting.
