Is anyone actually thinking about upgrading? WinXP is starting to sound like a joke, what do you think?

well if thats the only MP3 problem, then whats the big deal. I'll just use my copy of Audio catalyst like I did before.

Or is there more to the MP3 problem???

From what I've seen so far, I'm sticking with W2K. I got XP Beta 2 last week but I haven't loaded it up yet, so my opinion may change. However, from what I've seen of Beta 1, it's pretty slow on a PIII 600 with 128MB of RAM - noticably slower than W2K on the same box.

    gaming?

...no...I would not say it rocks for gaming. I dual boot, so I get the best of both worlds, but I find the access to teh CDs, video performance, and memory *performance* (not use) are about 70% of what I get in win98.

I dual boot so I keep all my multimedia/fonts/server extensions in win2k from poluting a good gaming experience (in win98).

I do all my gaming on W2K. I have no complaints.
