I just found a new hobbie that doesn't involve pc parts
I got my wife a 2001 Ford Expidition that is in the process of a system being built for it.
    Tell me what you think.
    Alpine headunit
    Precision Power 4x75 amp
    1 JL Audio 10W3
    Boston Acoustics Mid/highs.

Well, I ghetto-rigged my entire system in my truck when I got it. I had no idea what I was doing but didn't want to pay the hefty installation prices. I put in a JVC Head Unit, I forget the model, but it was the most expensive one, hehe. I have a 350W Rockford Fosgate Punch amp and 2 rockford fosgate punch 10" woofers. My boxes are a piece of crap that I bought at the flea market. It's a short bed truck It kinda sounds like crap and my speakers have blown a few times. I don't know if it's just cause I have it set up funky or what. Best Buy gave me a 4 year warranty on the speakers, so when they blow, i get new ones. I guess that makes up for it

Do you guys know any really cheap internet stores where I can get some car stereo shit? Just to let you know, I need to buy these for a cousin (They have to be these):

Precision Power PC4800.2 amp (last year's model)
    Nakamichi CD45z Head Unit

You guys know about how much I'll be spending on these?

    ucbstan:
    I suggest checking out soundhabit.com, or thezeb.com
soundhabit is cheaper and everything, but i think thezeb is a much more reliable website. plan to spend about 900 for those 2 pieces. personally, i like to get a warranty with stuff I buy so i tend to shy away from online stores( most car audio companies dont honor the warrany if bought online, only from B&O authorized retailers. ) if you want to go used, check out termpro.com's classfied section. Oh, and i happen to have a nak45z if you are interested in a used one.

yeah thezeb has some pretty good prices. But I managed to find the cheapest prices on eBay. I've already purchased both. Yup it came out to almost $900 for both. Thanks for the suggestions though. I'll check those stores out for future purchases.

http://www.ubid.com has got some pretty cheap stuff usually. My friend got a bunch of subs and a couple speakers and tweeters for $9 each and 2 amps for like $20 each, and we just built some custom stuff to fit his trunk, with some parts from Home Depot. Speaking of Home Depot, you can get some ghetto stuff for your car cheap, but not audio stuff.
