Is it just me, or has the new site layout / forums practically killed them completely?
I hope you're making more money on the deals now Apex. Otherwise, moving to a dedicated is going to get expensive if there aren't regular visitors.

Forums have been sputtering for a while, but I dont think the forums are that closely correlated to regular traffic that supports the site. The few days the site was linked to facebook during the hack, there were quite a few people commenting looking for the deals page.
Am I alone here? Is that it?

Yeah, I saw that. But I think it helps remind people to come back. Those of us that post on here. And yep, I knew they were slowly dying, but just seem "dead".. now.
I don't think the forums were ever a big revenue driver for Apex (although it's not like I ever saw the books or anything). I'm sure the deals forum helped reinforce traffic to the deals page to a certain extent, but if Apex's business model depended on how many of us posted in Off Topic, he would have been broke pretty quickly.
I don't know.. I come back here, mainly because of the forums. But because of that, I tend to read the deals page. And when I decided to get a new Laptop, I figured I'd show Apex some love, plus save some decent coin in the process and order an HP from one of the deals.
