-

Staples just confirmed - its the Hard Drive not the computer, just called up, took 30 seconds to cancel my order, oh well nothing lost.
-
Ah, that bites. Staples. LOL. Time to do an update.
-
Well, I almost bought one, whats up with that!!! Tryin to screw us over... Stupid Staples
---Update---
Actually just called and was told they can't honor it becasue it does not actually say computer in the descrption, they said those would be suggested items to go with it...
The guy I talked to said I was the second call in 10 minutes, asked who my source is!!! Never Staples, never shall I sell out to you!

Wouldnt that be false advertising on their part??

damn it... i hate staples...

HAHA Staples just called, to let me know that my order was a typographical error. At any rate, how are you guys cancelling orders in 30 seconds? I told her to cancel it and she said, If it comes refuse it, but I don't know if I can cancel it.

This is probably just staples getting back at us [the coupon abuser?] for buying thousands, if not millions, of dollars of merchandise at less than cost (not to mention free shipping).

What to do... what to do. It's almost like showing a thirsty man in a desert a lake. An oasis in the distance. Un-freakin-believable OH!!
-
funny thing is, she said she would call the supplier and have them not charge me. Like they were doing fulfillment through someone else. Oh well, I wont get charged, if I do, I'll call AmEx and let them know. Thank god for AmEx. I think they just flagged my account, because I have gotten away with free stuff from Staples with their screw-ups because AmEx's online fraud prevention. She called almost 20 seconds after I placed the order. Any rate, we'll see what happens.

Could this be a case of Staples revenge? They sure processed those orders pretty freakin' fast compared to the last time I ordered something.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

NO GOOD... just cancelled my order. the lady from staples was actually really nice to me. I was surprised after all the earlier coupon orders I had to cancel before. all this thing is, is a 10.2 GB Spartan hard drive.. and NOT a computer with all that other stuff. hope everyone else gets to cancel.
-
Ensign
you would think they would fix it on their page immediately, right? i think they like this... seriously. They fixed the coupons a week after they got 'released' and this still is at $123... completely lame.
-
Damn, I too wish I had checked the forums before jumping the gun and ordering! I just called and cancelled as well.
-
i just talked to the CSRs, and she said the whole "the title is correct, but the description is wrong," so I asked the obvious question; "umm...the title includes the P3-550E, so i'm going to have to demand that you send me a processor along with the hard drive." She didn't seem to be very smart because she was taking a while to answer any questions, but when this hard drive does arrive, i'm going to show my credit card company my printed out receipt and will tell them that Staples swapped orders on me, because Staples once again is screwing us with their idiocy. Hopefully my Credit Card wil have balls enough to fight for me. We'll find out sooner or later.

Come'on guys. You KNOW staples has made mistakes before. You think they'd really honor that? Don't get so upset, you know they wouldn't. "If it's too good to be true, it probably is."
-
Boy! I came pretty close on completing my order. And then I started thinking this is too good to be true. Sure enough! Good thing I caught you guys or else I would have to go through the cancelling as well.

just my luck to order it and have to call in and cancel no less than a minute... who's developing there website... high school students ???? no disrespect to ya hs.... as i was once a long long time ago
-
I called to cancel the order just minutes after I made the order. I got a confirmation E-mail saying that what I had ordered was a 10.2 gig hard drive. The guy said that he would put in a note to cancel it but it may not work so I should refuse the order if it is shipped. About 30 minutes later I got a call from a rep saying that there is no way to cancel the order and that I would have to refuse it when UPS delivers it and then when they get it back they would credit my card. I think it's ridiculous that in this time and age they cannot cancel an order that was just placed! So basically I'm out $100 on my bank account (I charged it on a debit card) for a couple of weeks because of Staples false advertising...and that's exactly what it is.

You guys should just leave staples.com alone - not because it's nice (who gives a damn for them, I don't), but because all they'll ever do is annoy you. I gave up on those whores, that company has the worst business practices ever.
