I'm a BIG sandwich fan. Nothing like the perfect sandwich. My favorites come from Togo's. Though once in a while I find myself lusting after a baked sandwich from Quiznos. I only touch subway when it's really late at night and I'm hungry for a sanwich because the subway here is open 24 hours.

jimmy john's #5, the vito, extra meat. i also do enjoy schlotzky's deli from time to time with the funky chewy bread. also good is the st. louis bread company, which recently renamed itself panera's or pannetti's or something, because they did some market research revealing that nobody, including st. louisans, believed that st. louis could produce tasty bread...

I'm all about sandwiches myself too. I hate cooking, I eat quick, so if it's not cereal w/ milk, its a sandwich I'm all about the grilled chicken. Best grilled chicken......Yaga's Cafe in Galveston, TX!

If you were in the military or were an army brat like i was you could go to a place called Robin Hood's sandwiches.
They were the best I have ever enjoyed.

I think the big chain stores only get so good. The best sandwiches I've had are all from mom'n'pop corner stores. It's best when they lightly bake the bread and cheese before adding all the juicy ingredients.

Bar none, it's the Hat in Southern Cal. I love dirty pastrami, and dirty pastrami don't get no better than that! 'Course, you feel like a 180 pounds of dog crap after eating it (especially if you get their chili cheese fries), but hey, 10 minutes in heaven is worth 2 hours in hell.

OMG!!! Penny I love that place and I went to it long time ago when I was interviewing for Pomona College. This is the one in Pomona, right? I was over in the area a week ago and I was hungry for some pastrami and I couldn't find the damn place. Where is it? DO you have the address or something?

willow tree chicken salad on toasted white bread with melted orange land o lakes american cheese. last thing added before sandwich closure- a yummy layer of cape cod potato chips.

when i have no chicky salad, i absolutely love to eat peanut butter and fluff on white bread, preferably with the crusts cut off.

The Hitman from Taneytown deli - they pile like 8 pounds of meat on that sandwich.

At home, peanut butter, banana, and honey. Mmmmm...

The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifegaurd.

    Wouldn't that be natural selection?

You would like to think that natural selection would have done a good job but I think everyone knows that it's about the same as the janitor playing with the chemicals late at night when the lab is closed.

Dom's isn't that big (he's talking about a small shop in Fallbrook where my ex used to work), and they're not that good either... I can easily finish one (and i'm rather skinny)...but I still prefer SubWay. Anyone else notice how all of his posts center on food? I think Jenn might be a very negative influence on you, my good man. From what Nancy told me a week or so ago, you two have been packing back the pounds. Lance, I haven't seen you...but don't get fat. You know my opinion on fat and ugly people...off to the death camp they go...and you know eventualy I'll be that powerful...

Actually I just went there recently and I can finish a subway sandwich but not the a large one from Dominick's. They are about a foot long but the catch is that they're really wide. Oh well...I just got back from getting free ice cream...oh ya gotta love that oreo cookie chip.

It's actually a ten inch, and yes it's thick, but it is not too large to finish in a sitting. I'm slender and could finish off at least a small and a large in a single sitting.
