I applied the NextCard from ******.com, my instant approval credit limit was $2000, and I got two upgrade packages, one was if I transfer balance around $4500, I can get credit limit to $5400. That's what I did. But when I got my first statement, I found out my APR is 13.99%, no any intro rate at all. The
result is I transfered balance from credit card whose APR is 8.9% to NextCard for APR 13.99%. How stupid I am! I feel somehow I was misleaded by NextCard's application process. Anybody out there has the same problem? How can I do something to this? Welcome any suggestion.

Other than calling them, I don't think there is much you can do. Your old card might give you a good promo rate to transfer the balance back, but it might take a month or two for them to make that offer. Maybe call them too?
ALWAYS read the fine print of any deal like that REALLY carefully.
Perhaps you can get another card to give you a good rate on a balace transfer for taking their card? Who knows.
Good luck, sorry they messed you up.

There has been lots of promotions as of late around the NextCard, and as far as I'm concerned, I'm not willing to risk my credit rating for a GC or something.
I've heard applying to many credit cards reflects badly on your record, and your credit record is something you want to keep in good standing.
Am I making sense, or am I up too late?

It is true -- you do not want to be applying for a new CC every month, or even once every few months. Once or twice a year is OK these days though, BUT only apply if you have a realistic chance of getting one (i.e. if your job pays cr*p and you have bad credit, don't bother -- it can make your credit report look even worse!)

Yea, I learned the hard way, When I came of age, the first thing I wanted was a credit card! Oweee! I applied to like 50 and slowly got 50 denials, claiming lack of credit rating, then I got them saying to many requests! What a scam. My suggestion would be, Don't use a credit card unless you really need too, I get by with My Ecount MC and a Visa check card. In fact, it has helped me budget my spending too. I just can't get that EB card... Oh well.

So, what's a person with NO credit to do, if he wants a credit card?
I'm a foreign citizen and I have NO credit, of course, since I haven't had US credit cards.
But since I have NO credit, I can't get a credit card, even if I'm making enough money to even pay for a new, expensive car in cash, if I wanted to (I don't...).
Apartment hunting also is very difficult, since landlords make credit checks and find out I have NO credit. They will take an applicant with good credit over me. So, I'm to become homeless?
What an idiotic situation...
I should probably pretend being a student and get a credit card with $150 annual fees and 30% APR. **** that.

You should go to a college campus tpp. They will give a card to anyone. Last year I filled out form so that I could get a free t-shirt. I had no credit and I put $0 for my income. They sent me the damn card anyway. No anual fee though so it's all good.
