If you are in an EU country that is switching to the EURO you are pretty well screwed.
Originally, the Euro was supposed to convert at just above $1. In the past two years it has been collapsing to below $0.85 (and that includes propping by the Central Banks)
They don't even have Euro coinage out yet (they will come out Jan 2002 in one of the most amazing currency shifts) and already they are becoming worthless.
