A little help wont hurt... come on guys...
Also is there any way I could install Mandrake8 on my room mates computer over the weekend without him knowing... assuming of course i'd attempt to uninstall it and put his system back the way it was
so i guess my question is... is there any way to install mandrake 8 without formatting a win98se equiped HD... i really don't want to have to replace all his system files

nope. different file system. you could go with winlinux or some variant...but that *aint* linux. you would have to fdisk and add a linux native filesystem. if your roommate wouldnt mind, you could do a dual boot using something like partition resizer and then adding the linux partitions. even better would be to take out his hdd and put in another one....no muss, no fuss. or you could just add a second hdd and just add the /boot partition to the first hdd...or boot from floppy. personally, i would go with the swapped hdd. it's not like you're not being sneaky anyways.

err, Rocket? Now, I don't know what kind of hack you are.. But, let's assume you succeed in doing some damage to OCZ's computers.

WHY would you be so stupid as to post like this and publicize that you're the one doing it?

Look at most of the big publicized hacks over the past few years where the nimrod was caught. What do they all have in common?

The impetuous 12 year old on the attacking end couldn't keep his mouth shut.

besides the obvious stuff ironchef wrote....why should anyone help you...you didnt even give a reason other than
"They screwed me over, blah blah blah"

for all we know your idea of being screwed over is stacking staples cupons to get 1000 Sony Vaio p3 Laptops for $5.00 and then having them cancel your order.

Grow up a little...if OCZ screwed you, talk politly to someone in charge, you'd be surprised how well that works.

If that doesnt work, nmaybe its something you can have your CC take care of.
Am I alone here? Is that it?

    Well the point is
    DON'T BUY FROM OCZ
BTW their customer service is terrible... calling them you end up talking to CoCo the king of the ape world.

    ehhh it doesn't matter
I just got a bad product... it can happen to anyone
Other wise OCZ is a pretty good company
I regret saying anything negative about the company...
The thing is i ordered some Enhanced Ram... and it's suppose to run cl 2-2-2 @ 150mhz... and I can't even get it to run cl 2-2-2 @ 133mhz
So now I have 384megs of ram that run cl 3-3-3 @ 133mhz... and i am angry
well i hope if you do shop there you have a better experience than me... In short I didn't have a good experience with OCZ but most likely it won't be repeated if you shop there...
If there are any admins around... please close this thread
